Payment schedules

How SeeMoney schedules payments forward from today and converts your remaining term into period counts for monthly, fortnightly, and weekly frequencies.

Payment schedule

Payments are scheduled forward from today. There is no payment on today itself, the first payment falls one period later:

  • Monthly - first payment one calendar month from today (12 periods per year)
  • Fortnightly - first payment 14 days from today (26 periods per year)
  • Weekly - first payment 7 days from today (52 periods per year)

Your remaining term (years + months) is converted to a period count for the simulation horizon:

  • Monthly: remaining term in months
  • Fortnightly: floor(remaining months × 26 ÷ 12)
  • Weekly: floor(remaining months × 52 ÷ 12)

If the loan is not paid off within that horizon, SeeMoney shows the outstanding balance at term end.

Payment schedule breakdown

The breakdown view generates one row per payment period: date, opening balance, interest, principal, and closing balance. Rows are grouped by calendar year with event markers.

On the payoff period, if your scheduled payment exceeds the amount owed (balance plus interest), the breakdown row caps the payment to that amount. Comparison totals and the balance chart are not capped this way; a small difference between breakdown and summary figures on the final period is expected.
